Since several years I use a Samson c01U USB condenser microphone recording audiobooks (for non professinal purposes) and it works very well. After every recording I need to remove beckground noise and than the voice is clear. I have also sound-absorbent panels on the rear.

Ogg: [Audacity-users] What equipment do I need to record with Audacity from a laptop computer

Hello,

I would like help on choosing a microphone for my laptop computer to use
with Audacity. I am running Windows 10 on an HP laptop. I love Audacity except
the headphones I have to record the sounds (that come with a
recording wand) are picking up everything, even the movement of
the USB cord attached to the headphones, so I think I need to buy a microphone
that plugs into the side. I’m on a budget, am not a pro, but I would like to
have better quality in my recordings. I am using Audacity version 2.1.1.

Thanks for any help.

William Burke
