as a heads up to vaughan and the rest of the developers,
i've noticed that on the newest build (2.1.2) not only are the gui's not showing up on plugs that didn't have this issue
on the previous release, also seems to be a bug in the vst "playthru" function.

it seems to happen if you uncheck the enable box for whatever plugins, and from that point, preview does not work anymore.
it's like old-school audacity, select a sample of audio, apply plugin, and hope for the best... repeat ad nauseum til ya get it
right hopefully.

this is on a fully patched and updated hp notebook 2000 laptop, win 7, 4 gigs of ram, tbyte storage, AMD E-450 with radion hd graphics,
1.,65ghz processor, 64 bit OS.

so far, rebooting has not fixed the issue. don't know if anyone else is having these kinda problems, but figured i'd inform the listserv.

that said, some stuff recorded with audacity may be hitting the "big time" soon... if it happens, i'll let you know.
still prefer audacity to all the other DAWS i've encountered...easy to work with.
??
happy new years to all.
peace
pink jimi photoneveral others, but my go- to is still audacity.

any chance after all these years steinberg would let a public release with ASIO drivers?
i've run a buold i have for years now, and have recorded up to 24 tracks simultaneously via firewire with zero issues.

happy new years to all,
Gale

Please, give a proper title to your message not "re Digest". Use the
Compose button. This helps people searching for messages.

There is no guarantee bugs reported here will be seen or acted on.
Here is the preferred bug reporting address:
http://audacityteam.org/contact/#feedback .

I have not seen a general VST problem, in my testing.

A bug report about plugins needs to mention the specific plugins
concerned and give the address where the plugins could be downloaded
for testing.

Thank you for any further information which you may provide.
