Might be a bug? (Audacity 2.1.1, Windows 10, Thinkpad T410i)

Working on an audio compilation, I edited the envelope of a song to correct
volume changes (by changing the cursor to the envelope tool). Plays fine.
Then I reset the cursor to the normal locate tool. I have saved this song
at this point.

Whenever I try to adjust the Equalization on this song, the envelope
corrections disappear! It's robust - survives saving, rebooting,
reloading. Other modifications (e.g. Amplitude, or Echo) work normally,
leaving the envelope mods intact.

This has not occurred before.

I have attached the .aup file. Don't know how to send you the .data file?
Audacity has not crashed, so no .zip file.

Yes, from the Release Notes for the current Audacity 2.1.2:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.1.2#Effects_and_Analysis

"The following effects remove envelope control points:

Change Speed/Pitch/Tempo; Equalization; Noise Removal;
Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift; any Nyquist effect in the
Effect menu.

Workaround: Use Tracks > Mix and Render to apply the
envelope to the waveform before applying the effect."

The best way to report possible bugs to ensure that we see them
is to write to our feedback address:
http://audacityteam.org/contact/#feedback .

Thanks.

Thanks. Sorry I didn't see it's already known.

Incidentally, HOW do we report bugs to your "feedback address
http://www.audacityteam.org/contact/#feedback"?

It's not an email address but a website. When I go there, I find lots of
interesting hints, but the only actual address is buried in a link "our
feedback address" which tries to open either a browser or a mail client
which I am not using - I could not discover the actual address.

And was there a possible way to send the .data file?

I much appreciate the excellent feedback service. Thanks Gale. Tony

Left-clicking the link assumes you have a mail client setup to
accept mailto links.

If that is not the case, either hover over the "email us" link and
look at the address shown in the browser status bar at bottom
left, or right-click the link and choose "Copy link", "Copy address"
or similar.

If you mean the project's _data folder, that is usually too large to
e-mail. You can make a ZIP containing the AUP file and the _data
folder and post it on dropbox.com, sendspace.com or other online
services, then give us the web address of the file.

Thanks,

Gale
